Aural Sex

Acousticophilia is a sexual response aroused by certain sounds. Pretty much any band groupie or gal who goes all gooey at the sound of an English accent enjoys some form of acousticophilia. Remember Jamie Lee Curtis humping everything in sight when she hears John Cleese’s accent in A Fish Called Wanda, or Gomez Addams going all goggly-eyed whenever Morticia speaks French in The Addams Family? Practically everyone has some sound that sets their hearts and other parts aquiver. Barry White's sexy growl, the roar of Harley Davidson, Rilke's poetry read aloud in German, maybe or the sound of sweet nothings whispered in your ear.

C'mon, give it up. What sound makes you go all melty?

Definitely a deep baritone makes me melt. Doesn't matter what the guy looks like, which is why my last boyfriend was old, fat and bald. Didn't matter as long as he'd whisper in my ear!

Soft lips, warm breath with a sexy voice caressing my ears....mmmm. Runs chills of excitement down my spine.

A deep raspy voice like Vin Deisel. And he's not bad to look at either...:)

A deep baritone does it for me. My husband lowers his voice the way he knows I love and...mmm. I'd follow him anywhere.

Oh I love a good Scottish accent. Usually the deeper the voice the better. Gerard Butler anyone?!?

I've got to go with a deep baritone, especially in an eastern European (i.e. Russian) accent *G*

Deep, softly drawling upper South-Bluegrass, refined but still very male men's voices.

*blush* Listening to certain of these men as they talk and train their horses and dogs. *blush* I mean, I have seriously gone all weak in the knees.

Certain Canadian accents and their way of speaking. Blame that on my husband. *heehee*

All Irish accents (except tough NorthEasterner ones) and Scottish and Welsh and certain British, both men and women. (???)

French men of mature age, elegant and cool but passionate erase all pretenses of being a good girl. Good thing I don't run into too many of them, isn't it?

Almost any accent for me. Scottish (Gerard Butler, oh yeah baby), Irish (Colin Farrell, even with all the curse words) are at the top of the list. Deep voices, just send shivers up my spine.

Australian, male and female. Irish and British follow close behind.
And since I was raised in the south, the southern accent does it for me more than any other in the US.

For me it's music more than voice. For some reason, salsa music does it for me. Something about those rhythms just makes my body have to move. I used to be crazy for the sound of a saxophone, but all that changed after I started going out with a bass player.

You know, now that you mention it, they should have at least hired a quiminologist as a consultant to conduct that meeting.

Oops, this comment should have gone on the quiminology files. d'oh!

My boyfriend's deep growl, in my ear when he is "turning me on". Also his heavier breathing as we get it on lol
