The Myth of Mr. All-Night-Long

At last, confirmation of what most women have always known: Having your cervix pounded for half an hour does not make for better sex, no matter what sitcoms and locker room braggarts would have you believe. In a new sex study, researchers Eric Corty and Jenay Guardiani decided after surveying 50 sex therapists that 3 to 13 minutes of penetration is the optimal amount of time for satisfying sex. An earlier study of 1,500 couples showed the median time was 7.3 minutes.

But don't relax just yet. The average woman still needs at 20 to 40 minutes of stimulation to reach orgasm. That doesn't mean 20 to 40 minutes of grunting and pelvic pumping. It means 20 to 40 minutes of kissing, stroking, exploring, and gasp! even communicating before and during penetration.

So that blaggard lied to me. He said I should be thrilled with fifteen seconds. Most women only get five. Damn his hide.

Uh-huh... that's what that little blue pill is for.

PS: Did you know that most prescription plans won't cover more than 15 little blue pills for three months?

I guess they figure no one needs to have sex more than every other day, huh? I still think it's a wee bit surprising that insurance covers e.d. medication at all. Seems like if they're gonna do that, they should cover vibrators for women.

Well, those suckers are expensive. I betcha that if they didn't cover them, there'd be a lot fewer "old" guys having sex.

Maybe they think it'll fight depression?

$257.00 for 18 pills for 90 days... insurance limit of 18 for 90 days. "Our" share of the cost...$60.00

Wow. That's ridiculous. Each pill probably costs a few cents to make, and I'll bet the company that makes it got lots of government subsidies to research and develop it, which means we paid for it. And yet they can still gouge us for it.

What does the study say about multiple 3-13 min sessions?

Good question. They didn't address multiples at all. We can only assume that, as long as it falls between those magic numbers, it's good. There's gotta be a study somewhere about optimum time in between rounds.
